  • Do you pierce with guns or needles?
We strictly pierce only with needles, which are also referred to as blades. This is for sanitary purposes, and also to help promote a smooth healing process for your piercing!
  • Do you pierce babies?
No, our client's consent of being pierced is our priority. We would love to pierce your child once they are at least 7 years of age, or when they can knowledgeably give their consent if older!
  • Do you pierce minors?
Yes! Those that are at least 7 years of age can be pierced. • Can I bring my own jewelry?
You cannot bring your own jewelry for piercing. Jewelry used for piercings will be provided by our studio. This is to ensure that it is new, sterile, and body safe. Our jewelry is sourced from reputable vendors to ensure a body safe finish, style, and size to promote a smooth healing process. We would love to install outside jewelry in your fully healed piercing, so long as it is appropriate quality and fit! We reserve the right to refuse installation of jewelry we deem as unsafe and/or subpar in quality. This is to protect you and your piercing!
  • How long does it take to heal?
That depends on the type of piercing, and your body! During the healing process, it is normal to experience swelling, weeping, redness, tenderness, minor bleeding, and/or bruising. Be sure to follow given aftercare instructions for the entire healing period of your piercing. Piercings heal from the outside in, not the other way around! Even if it may feel healed, it may not be completely done healing. You will be pierced with jewelry that has some extra space to accommodate for any swelling that occurs while you heal. This extra length is temporary and only for the swelling! It is important for the health of your piercing to downsize, ensuring that the extra space given does not become an irritant and hindrance to your healing. If the longer/bigger jewelry is left in for too long, it can cause long-term issues (such as shifting the piercing angle) and disrupt healing. Even if your piercing is fully healed, we recommend to never leave jewelry out for extended periods of time. Unless you are planning to retire a piercing, then it may begin to close. Everyone's body is different, and it may begin to close faster than expected! Please, do not touch your piercing while healing!! This is to ensure bacteria is not introduced, and for your safety. Anything touching your piercing should always be clean, including your hands! For ear and/or facial piercings, we recommend changing your pillowcase frequently. For any body piercings, we recommend changing bedding frequently, and wearing clean clothes that come in contact. Note: Signs of excessive heat, redness, elevated body temp, red-streaks, and foul-smelling discharge can be signs of an infection. Please consult your physician and notify your piercer.
  • Can I go swim with my new piercing?
Not immediately after! We recommend waiting between 2–6 months before entering any body of water, besides a shower, of course! This is because a piercing is different from a scrape, for example. Your jewelry is keeping the piercing hole (a wound) open for longer, which leaves a direct path for bacteria to enter your body. For your safety, please wait before engaging in activities such as swimming!
  • Can I get pierced with a hoop?
Unfortunately, a hoop is not available as initial jewelry, except for the septum and daith piercings. All piercings will be pierced with a flat-back labret, or a curved barbell accordingly (depending on the specific type of piercing). This is to ensure your piercing has minimal irritants, proper space to swell, and the proper angle as well. Most want a small, snug hoop, which does not accommodate for the needs of a fresh piercing. Note: Septums and daiths will not be pierced with a seamless ring. A captive bead ring or circular barbell will be offered. Seamless rings make a wonderful piece of jewelry for fully healed piercings!
  • What is your jewelry made of?
We carry implant grade titanium (ASTMF136), solid 14k gold, and niobium. We also offer other materials such as solid 18k gold, platinum, and others by special order. Jewelry quality matters, and we want the best for you! Our vendors offer a wonderful, body safe catalog, and we would love to place a special order for you if you don't see anything in the shop you like! Please view our special orders service tab for more information.
  • Can I film myself or my friend getting pierced?
Photos are allowed, but please no video. Thank you!
  • Will traveling affect my piercing?
Yes, it will! Traveling is taxing on your body, and your immune system. Due to the fluctuation of pressure when flying, swelling issues are common. When entering new regions, your body is exposed to different bacteria, water, climate, and more that your body isn't used to! We recommend waiting until you're home to be pierced. We love hearing your travel stories too!
  • Can I get pierced if I am pregnant and/or nursing?
For your safety, we do not pierce if you are currently pregnant and/or nursing. Your body needs all of its resources for the new life you are providing for, and recovering from! We would love to pierce you when you're at least six weeks postpartum.
  • How are your services priced?
Our services are priced by the multiple factors such as, but not limited to: – Materials used (gloves, needles, tapers, drapes, etc) – Ethically made, quality, and body safe jewelry – Continued education Pricing ensures that we can continue to offer you the best we can, because quality matters!
